St. Teresa of Calcutta In a small town called Skopje, there was
a little girl named Anjezë. She grew up in a family that loved God a lot. When
she was 18, she decided to leave home to help people who needed it the most.
She joined a group called the Sisters of Loreto in Ireland
and became Sister Mary Teresa. Then, she moved
to Calcutta, India, where she taught in a school. But outside the school, she
saw many people who were very poor, sick, and alone. This made her heart sad. One day, she felt God was
telling her to leave teaching and start helping these people directly. So,
she did just that. She began her work by teaching poor children under a tree.
This was the start of something big. She founded a new group called the Missionaries of Charity, where she and others could help
the poorest people in the world.
Mother Teresa, as she was now called, did amazing things. She took care
of people who were sick, those who had no home, and many who were dying. She
treated everyone with so much love and kindness. But even though she was
doing good, Mother Teresa had her own problems. She often felt like God was
far away, like she couldn't feel His presence. This made her very sad inside,
even though she was helping others. She called this feeling "the darkness." Despite feeling this way,
she never stopped. She kept helping because she believed it was what God
wanted her to do, even when she didn't feel close to God. Here's how Mother
Teresa can be a model for us today: 1. Helping Others: She
showed us that even small acts of kindness can change lives. We can
all do something to help others. 2. Keep Going: Even
when she didn't feel good inside, she continued her work. This teaches us to
keep going even when things are hard. 3. Love Everyone: She saw
God in everyone she helped, no matter who they were. This teaches us to treat
everyone with love and respect. 4. Faith in Action: Her life
was about doing, not just believing. We can show our faith by helping others,
not just by words. 5. Never Give Up: Even in
her darkest times, she didn't give up on her faith or her mission. This
inspires us to stay strong in our beliefs and commitments. Mother Teresa's life reminds us that even when we feel lost
or alone, we can still make the world a better place by showing love and
helping those around us. She proved that you don't need to be
perfect or feel perfect to do great things. |
